Watch a pristine white wall get smoothly tagged over, and over, and over, and over in searing Montana black until the black engulfs a crisp-edged section like some graffiti Malevich square. Then, see the same, but the opposite.
“One name. One obsession. A black and white loop. Hypnotic. Overwhelming,” quoth the description for this commericial for Montana spray paint, directed by Big Addict and enacted by TILT. Hypnotic it is. It starts off steady and then speeds up until TILT is a frantic, cathartic blur of a man. At the end, we have two infinitely packed layers, two stacked planes, two cloaked frequencies, buzzing. How’s that for a time-lapse?
