This is what the top floor of the Russian Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale looks like — covered in back-lit QR code tiles. You’re meant to roam the mini palace with a tablet, scanning codes. This will take you to plans and models for Russia’s future city of Skolkovo… in the future!

You ready? Currently under development, this Silicon Valley-esque town will host 500 biomedical and nuclear research centers, space and technology companies and start-ups, and a university.

So… it’s a braggy preview site with an IRL navigation menu? Um, pretty. Also, terrifying.

The 13th Venice Architecture Biennale has just opened, now through November 25th.
