Police Commissioner Ray Kelly has issued a memo warning police to look out for this clever bracelet that contains a handcuff key. One can easily buy a bracelet that contains a tiny key capable of unlocking the universal handcuffs made by none other than Smith and Wesson. “Uniformed members of the service are cautioned to remain alert, thoroughly search prisoners and remove all jewelry and nonessential articles,” said Kelly in a statement.

The bracelets come in a variety of colors and cost around $20 each. Buy the buckle by itself and you can fashion your own cuff-busting arm trinket.

Of course, these aren’t the only type of jewelry that can de-cuff you. Kelly should tell his cops to look out for rings, sneakers, belt buckles, safety pins and Swiss Army keys. Now that cops can strip search people at will, I’m sure they’ll be able to collect a lot more of these sneaky items.
