Even worse, the article is paginated. Which means that it makes them seem like they're chasing for page views and ad impressions. It's more than just laziness, it's cynical laziness.
My favorite media personality right now is Rachel Maddow. She makes me really upset with the media landscape. You don't need to fill your niche of the media landscape with what the guy before you talked about. You can find new shit everyday. Most of these people have reasonably bright people around them. I know doing a twice a week video for a single dude can be hard, so I'm not denying you this. But finding new news to report and have opinions on isn't that hard when you're a major media outlet like Gawker or CNN.
J, while I may agree that Keli's article didn't take into account that Mrs. Obama's comments were specifically in reference to Beyonce's singing, and I recognize that the article's assumptions of the political implications of Mrs. O's comments do make some leaps, I can't co-sign on you calling Keli's piece a product of half baked random opinion just because you don't agree.
Just as you mentioned in your recent pro-"troll feeding" vid, if you are not part of the marginalized group that's been targeted, you just may not get how deep the whole thing is. If you aren't a woman, you probably don't realize how often we get peddled misogynistic drivel that portrays us as superficial and vapid.*
So we take pride when society finally recognizes the legitimacy of positive feminine attributes beyond objectification. And when someone like Michelle who embodies that positivity chooses to highlight someone else who (justified or not) is considered a symbol of the same stereotypes we're trying to rise above, it IS a big deal–not just news fodder filler.

if michelle obama stops using gov't funds to pay for her lavish vacations at taxpayer expenses then maybe shes fair game. but as long as she continues to use the resources of a country she hates shes fair game.
never has a first "lady" embarassed a country more than her.
Lol. I can't decide between my favorite lines in this one… I'm going between… "I need a gawker style provocative opinion by 2 pm"… OR… "the comment section of bossip.com does not count as polling data" OR "slut shaming by association…" good one.
