With the subways connecting Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan out of service and long lines for buses, you would think it would be a great time to be a taxi driver in NYC. Nope. Although the East River bridges are now open, a citywide gas shortage, not to mention a debilitating gridlock, is making life very difficult for cabbies. ANIMAL spoke to driver Himal Adikari about the problems he’s facing in the wake of the storm.
