Jews Beat Out Muslims In Atheist Billboard Outrage

After pressure from orthodox Jewish leaders in Brooklyn, a landlord in the heart of Williamsburg rejected a billboard critical of religion by an atheist group. When the outdoor advertising company came to install it, property owner Kenny Stier wouldn’t give them access reports The Brooklyn Paper. Instead, the billboard was placed near the BQE which the New York Times notes is about a mile and a half from the original spot. Meanwhile in New Jersey, a Muslim version of the same ad went up in Paterson without a hitch. (Photo: Robert Stolarik/The New York Times)
