What do you get when you mix one custom L.E.D.-lit couture suit from John Spatcher, one pro snowboarder William Hughes, one fashion photographer/filmmaker Jacob Sutton and some snowy slopes? A viral video. Duh.
Watch as he zips down the Rhône-Alpes through exaggerated darkness and lights up the shallow waves of snow billowing up from under his board. This is the kind of stuff Amelie’s neighbor would put on his “Watch Me” video mix tape, maybe. Good stuff.
“I was really drawn to the idea of a lone character made of light surfing through darkness,” says Sutton. It does make you wonder just what kind of a budget lets you spend three nights playing with Red Epic camera in -25C temperature to perfectly execute exactly the idea you wanted. Damn.
