Once the sun goes down in Tahrir Square, most of the “protestors” left are kids. We’re talking from knee-highers to long-haired teenagers, whose main agenda is to kick the shit out of cops. Last night, on Abdel Kader Hamza Pasha street, shortly after 3 a.m. the rock-throwing tear-gas fire-starters became more aggressive. The Central Security Forces rev their engines and wail the sirens to let the young punks know the tear-gas shells are coming. Meanwhile, the kids shine their green laser pointers on CSF’s ducking for cover to give their rock-throwing allies a better target. After midnight, this isn’t about politics or Morsi’s corruption: it’s about unchecked rage of Egypt’s youth.
