The New York City Food Film Fest, which features 38 culinary films from around the world and food and drinks from top-notch chefs, began Thursday and runs through Sunday in venues throughout the city. The awesome gimmick: as you’re watching the various food movies, you’ll be served grub that lines up with what you’re seeing on the big screen. And though you’ve missed your chance to be a part of last night’s delicious-sounding whiskey and bacon event, you can still take part in tonight’s Japan-themed festivities and Saturday’s “Food Porn Party and Awards Ceremony,” which, sadly, does not appear to feature any actual porn.

And it’s all for a good cause: the festivities are hosted by and benefits both the Food Bank for New York City and the Good Food Project. Get your tickets here.
