Oh Look, There’s a Navy Blimp Flying Over NYC

Last November, the US Navy flew a blimp around the city to conduct a series of “capabilities flights” along with the FAA and apparently it’s back. The airship, which was designed to accommodate the “the increasing demand for airborne surveillance” according to the manufacturer, has been spotted by up and down the Hudson River. Maybe it has to do with those Homeland Security training exercises mentioned last fall or they’re just getting New Yorkers used to the drone fleet that will inevitably be patrolling the skies.
