According to the latest figures obtained by the NYCLU (and as predicted), the NYPD obliterated their previous 2010 stop-and-frisks record (601,055) and conducted a jaw-dropping amount of the the controversial street searches in 2011 (684,330).
Out of that number, 87 percent were black or Latino and 9 out of 10 were completely innocent. Despite evidence to the contrary, the police department is vigorously defending the policy and says it’s by no means racist. Of course not, it’s just a coincidence! (Photo: The Phantom/flickr)
I am putting out a call for mass civil disobedience in defense of Stop & Frisk. Save Stop & Frisk from attack. This crime-stopping tool, when properly applied in high-black and high-brown areas, has brought down murder rates and kept the streets clean of people. It is now at last time for the white community to stand in solidarity with the black establishment in telling children to pull their pants up.
