The artist who was arrested in Soho and spent nine hours in a jail cell for selling a painted pillow attended criminal court this morning and his case won’t being going to trial after all. Jamel aka SEE ONE tells me prosecutors gave him an ACD, which means the charges will be dismissed if doesn’t get in any trouble over the next six months. Smart move, as not even the most hard-assed jury would have found an artist guilty for selling work that happened to be on a cushion instead of a canvas.
