This new music video for Autolux’s The Science of Imaginary Solutions is really good, so watch it. It must be nice to be Mark Whalen and have your art be animated to life, what with its dozens of peculiar figures and the prismatic, psychedelic landscapes all tied up with organic string, writhing like a living cord. Or something.
It’s seriously impossible and completely superfluous to describe something like this, as the point is… you don’t have to. It’s one part M.C. Escher, two parts seventies sci-fi, some theories on Genesis, a lot impossible geometry abd a sprinkle of neon all over, all swimming in mystery psychotropic ingredient.
