We’ve been keeping an eye on Pussy Riot, from the start to their religious revolution to the circus of a trial and the a justice blasphemy of a conviction, so we’ll keep updating you on some news you may have missed.

  • The appeal of Pussy Riot’s two-year conviction has been made, but even their defense lawyer thinks its “unlikely” that the verdict will be overturned. Bummer.
  • Two Pussy Riot members being hunted down by the police have escaped Russia into the US to avoid arrest. It’s unclear whether they’re the other two Punk Prayer protestors. Also, Pussy Riot is  ”recruiting foreign feminists to prepare new protest actions” ohmegod ohmegod ohmegod.
  • Pussy Riot continues to distance themselves from those misguided “support” actions of cutting down orthodox crosses, but it isn’t a Kremlin plot to discredit them nor a “Satanist pro-Pussy Riot stunt.” It’s still FEMEN being not so smart. C’mon, girls. WTF.
  • Danny DeVito express concern for Pussy Riot. The hubby Pyotr Verzilov answers, appears smitten. Judging by his Twitter, he’s moved on from Madonna to Lady Gaga. Looking forward to see how the hell it’s going to help the dismal status of the appeal.
  • Even Kim Gordon has something to say about Pussy Riot now but of course she does.
