Queens is a proud borough. As such, it’s a fitting borough for the mysterious sexy stranger who has wordlessly taken up residence there: a healthy, beautiful peacock. Witnesses say the bird has been meandering through the streets for at least a week, and despite calls to city departments, the peacock persists. No one is quite sure where the peacock came from. “It’s certainly not ours, said Scott Silver of the Queens Zoo; “That peacock did not come from the garden,” declared Darcy Hector of the Queens Botanical Garden. Perhaps the peacock belongs to John Bowne High School in Flushing which has an agricultural program that hosts two peafowls. If you have any pictures of the mystery bird, we’d love to see them.
