We’re still pretty depressed about the recent death of rap-film-activist Adam Yauch, aka MCA, but this recently uncovered letter to the New York Times‘ Stephanie Zacharek is easing the pain a bit. Yauch, using the pseudonym Nathanial Hornblower, responded to Zacharek’s not-entirely positive review of the video for the Beastie Boys song “Ch-Check It Out,” which Yauch had directed under the same pseudonym. “Hornblower” insists that “that video is big time good,” and that his “film technique is clearly too advanced for [her] small way of looking at it.” He also demands a goat. Check out the letter in its entirety and have a little chuckle with the late, great MCA. (Photo: Masao Nakagami/Flickr)
