Students from The New School banded together to form a protest choir in an effort to disrupt foreclosure auctions at the Brooklyn Supreme Court yesterday. The students erupted in a song right as the foreclosure auction began, which was 30 minutes early as to avoid such a scenario. This action is following the recent foreclosure blockade trend set by groups like Organizing for Occupation, an offshoot of the Occupy movement. A total if 13 students were arrested and at least one building, 556 Evergreen Avenue in Bushwick, was not sold.
