What can be said about Henry Hill that hasn’t already been said? The infamous mobster, perhaps more infamous for his career as a government informant, on whose stories Goodfellas was based, died this morning at the age of 69. Hill entered the witness protection program in 1980, after he was arrested on drug charges. Later, he testified against the Lucchese crime family, of which he had been a member.
On his Facebook page, Nate Caserta, son of Hill’s fiancee Lisa Schinelli Caserta, wrote that “Henry was one of the most laid bad chill guys ever. It breaks my heart knowing I will never get to talk to him again.” Requests for comment were not immediately answered by Mr. Tomato, who professes to have been a “good friend and longtime associate” of Henry Hill’s.
