This timelapse video shows the creation of Santi Moix’s gigantic walldrawing—two days of meticulous drawing—in less than two minutes. The drawing, Huckleberry Finn, “I don’t take no stock in mathematics, anyway,” was acquired by the Brooklyn Museum along with its accompanying watercolor, Fishing Day (Huck and Tom) this month, and are now on view in the fourth floor contemporary galleries. Watch the photographers documenting Moix’s work disappear as the sun sets, and reappear as he completes the gargantuan piscine tree on the left. You’d think Moix would take a page out of Sawyer’s handbook. “Well I don’t see why I oughtn’t to like it. Does a boy get a chance to draw a huge intricate fish tree on a wall every day?”
