There it is. A quick, high-energy touristy post card of a trip to New York City—set to some tinny pop song, no less. This is the classic Tourist Eye View, it’s got pretty much everything you could want. It’s a well-edited, joyous celebration of a city as seen through the eyes of a kid from Cologne, Germany. That is, buildings are tall! Bridges are neat! Architecture is cool! Particularly charming is the moment when videographer, Simon Kleinebeckel, pauses the music so viewers can better hear the inspiring message a group of buskers has for its audience: “There’s only one race in the world! And what’s that?! That is the human race! Ladies and gentlemen, give yourselves a round of applause!”
