“There’s a lot of fear about the Bronx. People really don’t know what it’s really like,” he says. “This is my way of understanding this area of the Bronx better, without the filter of all the prejudices.”
And so, 40-year-old Brooklynite Jason Eisner hangs out in West Farms, doing his J & West Farms: BRONX project, looking like “a cowboy ranger” and “turning heads” with his “imitation surveying equipment.” Eh. But don’t say that word. He takes care of trees. It’s sweet.
