Aled Lewis is an illustrator and designer who, much like many of his peers, comes from a dedicated gamer background. He was recently commissioned by PlayStation’s All-Stars Battle Royale game to create the celebratory series The Challengers Appear. The series focuses on 15 years of Playstation icons in unusual, but familiar pixelated environments.

The Challengers Appear features the likes of God of War’s Kratos and LittleBigPlanet’s Sackboy into the set of 80’s favorite Karate Kid, Mario Bro’s Fat Princess on the 72 step entrance to the Philadelphia Museum of Art from Rocky, and Rachet (Ratchet & Clank) and Jak (Jak and Daxter series) recreating Reservoir Dogs. That’s like, a double-awesome nerd-fest. Game on!
