After Last Night, Essam Probably Won’t Be Going To Jail

March 15, 2013 | Bucky Turco

Over $12,000 was raised at the silent auction fundraiser ANIMAL threw for embattled “Drone” artist Essam Attia last night. Hosted by renowned photographer Clay Patrick McBride, a couple hundred people showed up to our Hell’s Kitchen offices to bid on art, drink things, and listen to live music provided by the likes of Ben Morgan, Danny Musengo, California King, Motherwell Johnson and Ludlow Thieves. Additionally, ink master Johnny Ford offered tattoos for $50 a pop and 16 people obliged.

Special thanks to artists Clay Patrick McBride, Dan Witz, Peter Max, Tanyth Berkeley, GILF, Mr. EWOKONE, Patrick Waldo, Jaron Berman, QRST, STASH, SERVO, Army of One, Adam Dare, Jay Shells, AM Charles Lahti, Hellbent, Kyle Goen, LNYNARDOZ, Scott Avett, JJ Veronis, Matt Trumino and Alex Haldi for donating awesome work.
