June 11, 2013 | Kyle Chayka

As part of a promotion for Adobe’s Creative Day, photographer and expert retoucher Erik Johansson took to the streets of Finland and photoshopped the likenesses of pedestrians into mock bus station advertisements.

Each of these photoshops were made on the fly by a team of that took numerous high resolution photographs of pedestrians waiting for the bus and then quickly edited the images, allowing the victims subjects to see themselves in “advertisements” in real-time.

Unbeknownst to the project’s participants, Johansson was sitting in a van across from the bus stop, retouching reality. Sly.
