Although longtime Brooklyn District Attorney Charlie Hynes lost the Democratic primary after more than two decades in office, he’s not ready to give up the position just yet and has decided to run on the Republican ticket. It’s going to be an uphill battle, but his campaign just broke out the big guns: a dancehall tune. Yes, you heard right. Politicker reports that a Jamaican singer by the name of Chris Howell recorded the track, on the “Sick” riddim no less. It was uploaded to the campaign’s SounCloud account.
Sample lyric: “We want the world to know/Mr. Hynes is not for show/He is the D.A. to know/And Brooklyn will be a better place.”
If the Hynes campaign needs a video shot, ANIMAL loves helping out the underdog candidate.
