Eat This
Famous Art Toast

March 26, 2013 | Julia Dawidowicz

I want to put this art in my mouth.

For her “Art Toast Project,” Norwegian artist Ida Skivenes created toasty replicas of iconic works of art by Edvard Munch, Frida Kahlo, Piet Mondrian, Jackson Pollock, and Salvador Dali. She melted cheese “clocks” on her The Persistence of Memory toast.

Word on the street on ArtInfo is that once she posts them to her Instagram, Skivenes eats them. Does that make them temporary pop-up art installations?
