Fourteen-year-old Kevin Barrera was found brutally beaten and shot beside railroad tracks in Richmond, California in the August of 2009. Last week, his father Jose Barrera made the shocking discovery that Google Maps has included a satellite image of police officers at the crime scene, standing beside the body of his now deceased son.

Sadly, Kevin’s killer was never found and remains at large. Barrera has since reached out to Google in hopes of having the image removed from the mapping service altogether but hasn’t received a response at this time. Barrera has made it clear that if Google continues to remain silent about his request that he plans on contacting lawmakers seeking further action.

When I see this image, that’s still like that happened yesterday, and that brings me back to a lot of memories.
