Frieze New York has just announced its exhibitor list. The London-based art fair is returning to its Randall’s Island annex in Manhattan, as a giant white tent with 192 galleries from 28 countries. What’s different this year? Russia’s out, Mexico’s in and Sculpture Park is out (Paul McCarthy’s inflatable Koons parody Balloon Dog “struggled with size issues” last year).

Feminism? Feminism is very, very in right now.

“One thing that we’re seeing really trending actually through this year’s fair is quite a strong feminist trend,” Frieze co-director Sharp told The Observer. “There are a lot of very, very interesting female positions being shown.”

Then some names of galleries are highlighted as participants. Two of the galleries have female names.

I am interested in what these interesting female positions are and in this trend of feminism, but there is no further information at the moment, aside from the fact that there are female positions and also a lot feminism.
