The Guggenheim Museum opened its doors fifty-four years ago today, and to commemorate, the museum published a video of an excited opening day crowd on its blog this morning. The end of the film features a glimpse into the museum’s inaugural exhibition, featuring important works by likes of Jean Arp, Constantin Brancusi, Marc Chagall, Stuart David, Max Ernst, Paul Klee, and Vasily Kandinsky.
