Filmmakers Natasha Masharova and Anatoli Ulyanov created this short documentary about Kaparos, a ritual practiced on the eve of Yom Kippur by some of the city’s Hasidic Jewish population that involves swinging a live chicken around a person’s head, then slaughtering it.
