How to Kill the “Listicle”
Once and for All

June 20, 2013 | Kyle Chayka

The sizable slice of all articles people seem to be reading and sharing on the internet are formated as “listicles” — short form, single-serving lists, paginated into long-form clicking to create the maximum amount of pageviews. It can quickly become a nuisance to click on each and every slide in order to view the entire contents of an article.

A new bookmarklet known informally as Deslide allows you to drop in any web address that contains one of these pesky slideshows and effectively breaks it down into an easily readable format, saving you some clicks as well as frustration.

Many thanks to whoever was responsible for creating this as I know I’ll be using it very frequently. Find the invaluable bookmarklet here.
