Listen In: Ducktails Made You a Playlist

Listen In” is a weekly feature in which we ask musicians to curate a mixtape-length YouTube playlist of songs they’re currently digging.

Today’s playlist, from Ducktails, aka Matt Mondanile of Real Estate, is eclectic, veern from vintage psych rock to smooth jazz and back again. A few entries–like a full film about Italo disco and a vintage BMW commercial–aren’t even songs, but there is a continuing thread, in that most of this music shares a soft-focus, jazzy looseness in common with Ducktails’ own music.

Wish Hotel, Ducktails latest EP, arrives 10/21 via Domino, and is currently streaming on Pitchfork.
