Listen In” is a weekly feature in which we ask musicians to curate a mixtape-length YouTube playlist of songs they’re currently digging.

This week we hooked up with Mad Professor, a dub producer who has been actively making music since the early 1980s. Along the way, he’s teamed up with fellow reggae luminaries like Lee “Scratch Perry” and Sly and Robbie, as well as bands like Massive Attack and Rancid.

For his mix, he offers up a few of his own recent productions, as well as two full albums from Augustus Pablo (including the essential King Tubby Meets Rockers Uptown) and a few detours into 1970s soul. Click the big play button above to hear the whole playlist, and scroll down to see and play individual songs.

Mad Professor takes his “Roots of Dubstep” tour to The Bell House in Gowanus November 2.
