Contrary to early reports, Barack Obama’s visit to a Crown Heights high school today won’t cause the full closure of Prospect Park, which sits over two miles away. Only parts of the park will close, though it isn’t clear which. Obama will likely arrive via helicopter, landing in the park.

“Please note that only portions of Prospect Park will not be accessible on Friday, October 25 during the President’s visit,” reads a statement on the Prospect Park Alliance’s website. “The closure will not affect the entire park. We apologize for the inconvenience and any confusion associated with earlier messages.”
