The city’s Department of Health has recently closed down several restaurants in Penn Station, citing violations such as “live roaches present in facility’s food” among many others. The main eatery in question, a combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell that shares an adjoining space with Colombo’s Yogurt, Nathan’s and a Tim Horton’s remains closed with no official word of when they may re-open.
This isn’t exactly the first run-in the small crop of restaurants has had with the city’s Department of Health. The same combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell was written up for the presence of live roaches in and around their food as recently as last year. That being said, it’s probably a wise move to avoid eating the food at Penn Station altogether.
