Putin Hates Threesomes

September 12, 2013 | Marina Galperina

Today, a popular Russian television station EvroKino was issued an official warning from Russia’s Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology, and Mass Media for “propagating same-sex relations” by showing a 2007 French musical Les Chansons d’Amour (Love Songs) directed by Christophe Honoré.

It’s about three hot French people in a hot three-way relationship. Then, there’s another one. And there’s drama. It’s very French New Way Cinema redux. With more threesomes. And drama. It’s not even that raunchy. But it contains hot “propaganda of nontraditional sexual relations,” apparently, as in depicting that they exist.

So, yeah. Looks like Kremlin is enforcing the Putin-approved ban on “homosexual propaganda,” which makes any public display of gay or pro-gay is a criminal offense and extends to television broadcast of foreign films.

And you thought it was just for justifying homophobic mob violence. It’s also for banning hot French threesomes.
