Remix Bowie, Marley, Hendrix, and Others as You Listen

Well, this is just delightful: the French flash developer Kek trawled the internet for pop songs whose individual tracks are publicly available, then collected them all in one place for easy listening and on-the-fly remixing. That means you can listen to Jimi Hendrix’s trippy guitar work on “Castles Made of Sand” without any pesky drums, bass, or vocals, or isolate Carmine Rojas’ ridiculously fat bass line on David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance.”

Most fun, of course, is soloing the vocal tracks. System of a Down’s “Chop Suey!” sounds every bit as ridiculous without instruments, as does Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Give It Away.” I’ll never be able to get Serj Tankian’s unadorned “When angels deserve to DIIIIIIIE” out of my head. First seen on Waxy.
