Shadowy Midtown Billboard Wants to Regulate Your Internet

October 4, 2013 | Andy Cush

Reader Jeff Owens sent in this picture of a billboard that seems connected to the NSA-skewering sign in Tribeca we showed you yesterday. This one reads “The internet should be regulated,” and is on the corner of 27th Street and Broadway. Clear Channel confirmed that yesterday’s billboard was part of a teaser advertising campaign, but wouldn’t say what company is running it. That detail will apparently be revealed next week. Any guesses?

UPDATE: The billboards were part of a pretty excellent ad campaign for BitTorrent.
