Street art fans aren’t the only ones who interact with Banksy’s stenciled interventions: Families do too.
On Sunday, the street artist disclosed a new piece of public art for his ongoing series. Located on the Upper West Side, it depicts a child swinging a mallet over a real life Siamese connection pipe attached to a fire alarm bell, giving it the appearance of remixed strongman carnival game.
By 11am, the place was mobbed. Throughout the day, photos of children posing under the mallet were uploaded to Instagram, which ANIMAL then culled and embedded below. Because really, what can be cuter than this? (Photo: Ayamm Ismail/ANIMALNewYork)
