Weed-Dealing Westchester Mom Pleads Guilty

October 9, 2013 | Andy Cush

Andrea Sanderlin, the Westchester mom who was arrested earlier this year for running a pot grow operation out of a Maspeth, Queens warehouse, pled guilty in Brooklyn Federal Court Monday. “I operated a facility in which I, together with others, grew at least 1,000 marijuana plants and sold the marijuana product from the plants,” she admitted in her statement.

According to the Daily NewsSanderlin is fessing up in an attempt to avoid the 10 year mandatory minimum she faces for growing and selling the plants. She may be eligible for what’s called a “safety valve,” which allows for exceptions to the minimum for people with clear criminal records who are cooperative with prosecutors. Godspeed.
