Ben Eine’s Objets D’Street Art

November 26, 2014 | Bucky Turco

UK street artist Ben Eine, whose work was once gifted to President Barack Obama by UK Prime Minister David Cameron, is taking his signature typographical-style of lettering and making it three dimensional. In partnership with London’s Fragile Ventures, Eine is releasing hand-cast cubes with the letter “E” carved into them. They look like alphabet blocks kids would play with, but sophisticated and upscale.

“Since I was a small child, I’ve always loved making and building things – usually a mess – but now I’ve had the chance to create something unique, hand-crafted and beautiful, “said Eine. “And I can still play with them.”

The 4.7 inch cubes become available in early December and will come in three different fonts and materials: Shutter (concrete), Tenderloin (metal), and Circus (wood).
