Bill Clinton Finally Says Something Honest About Weed

July 1, 2014 | Bucky Turco

More than two decades after claiming that he “experimented with marijuana” while in college, but “didn’t inhale.” Bill Clinton now thinks that legal pot for recreational use is something states should experiment with.

In a recent interview with NBC’s David Gregory, here’s how the 42nd president addressed the issue:

I think we should leave it to the states. This really is a time when there should be laboratories of democracy because nobody really knows where this is going. Are there adequate quality controls? There’s pot and there’s pot; what’s in it? What’s going to happen? There are all these questions. And I think that, unlike where it is now, if the state wants to try it, they can. And then they’ll be able to see what happens.

During Clinton’s presidency, weed arrests increased dramatically, but at least the high profile political player has decided to come around in 2014 and take the same stance that Peter Tosh took… in 1976.
