De La Soul Release (Almost) Entire Catalog for Free Online

February 14, 2014 | Andy Cush

The 25th anniversary of De La Soul’s classic debut 3 Feet High and Rising comes next month, and to celebrate, the group released their entire catalog (save 2004’s better-than-you-think The Grind Date) for free on their website this morning. Act quickly if you want to download it — the albums will only be available until tomorrow at noon.

Due to sample clearance issues, much of De La’s output isn’t available via iTunes or the big streaming services. This is the group’s way of combating that. “It’s about allowing our fans who have been looking and trying to get a hold of our music to have access to it,” Posdnuos told Rolling Stone“It’s been too long where our fans haven’t had access to everything. This is our way of showing them how much we love them.”
