This Is Fight Club Minus Tyler Durden

Here’s a taste of what Fight Club might look like if Edward Norton’s nameless main character was shown to be the lonely insane person he really is. The special effects artist Richard Trammell edited Tyler Durden out of the film’s iconic “I want you to hit me as you can” scene, so that it’s just Norton on his own, fighting himself.

Unfortunately, a de-Durdened version of the entire film isn’t coming any time soon. “Everyone wants the whole movie made,” Trammell wrote on Reddit. “I can tell you right now it’s not within my scope to do the whole thing, and there’s no way it would fly on Kickstarter unless I got David Fincher to get in on it. Honestly, I don’t think it would really be a very good movie taken as a whole.”
