NYC punks Unstoppable Death Machines, who recently contributed a playlist to ANIMAL’s Listen In, play Shea Stadium. ($8, 8pm, Brooklyn)

Afghan war doc Restrepo is screening at the Brooklyn Museum with a discussion with co-director Sebastian Junger. He will talk about his co-director’s photojournalist Tim Hetherington’s work, who was killed on assignment in Libya in 2011. And while you’re there, see the “War/Photography: Images of Armed Conflict and Its Aftermath” exhibit. ($12, 2pm, Brooklyn)

House of Ladosha’s Juliana Huxtable and ANIMAL favorite Bunny Rogers, among others, are reading poetry at “New Agendas” at the Macie Gransion Gallery. (Free, 7.30pm, Manhattan)

The first of the last shows at 285 Kent (RIP) is pretty much sold out, but if you show up very early you could get some at the door. This one is with Autre Ne Veut, Ital, Bookworms, and more. ($15, doors 8pm sharp, Brooklyn)

New Year’s Eve is terrible. That’s why we have a do-over. Come to the 5th Annual New Year’s Do-Over Party at Cheap Storage. Headliner: The Love Supreme. Oh, and there’s a traditional Melon Drop at midnight, after the countdown. (Brooklyn, 9pm)
