Record-Breaking Manhattan Lap Driver Won’t Get His License Back

March 5, 2014 | Andy Cush

Remember Adam Tang, the driver who broke the record for fastest lap around Manhattan with a 24-minute sprint, then was arrested after posting video of his exploits to YouTube? He’s petitioned a judge to give him his driver license back, and shockingly, she turned him down.

Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Jill Konviser said his “conduct, if true” was “extremely dangerous,” and noted that she doesn’t think he should “have his passport or his license.”

If he’s convicted on the reckless endangerment charges that have been brought against him, he could face up to a year in jail. Watch his original video above.
