Connecticut Man Calls 911 On His Jealous Cat

June 5, 2015 | Liam Mathews

A man in Stamford, Connecticut called 911 on his own pet cat early Thursday morning because the cat was jealous of his newborn baby and wouldn’t let them into the house, NBC New York reports.

“I cannot go inside in my home,” he reportedly said. “The problem is that my cat was getting too aggressive.” NBC does not say if the 911 dispatcher laughed at him, but probably they did.

The 7.5-pound gray female cat bit him in the leg and was generally wilding out, and so the man and his wife refused to enter the house for 3 or 4 hours, because the cat was waiting by the door. He called 911, and the dispatcher asked him what he wanted police to do, and he said he wanted them to come and get his cat so he could get inside and go to sleep.

The wife had given birth earlier that night, and the cat was probably jealous or afraid of the baby. Poor kitty.

The cops didn’t come, because eventually the couple realized “we have an hours-old baby and we’re huddling outside of our house because we’re scared of a fucking housecat” and they went inside.
