Like other crimes, the laws against graffiti vary from state to state and from country to country. There are many places such as Bogota, Colombia where the fine is relatively minor and then there are others, like Singapore, that will get straight up medieval on someone’s ass should they get caught tagging. The makers of internet at Hopes&Fears compiled an index of the various penalties against unsanctioned public art for several cities/countries around the world.
