Listen In: Van Hunt Made You a Playlist

May 5, 2015 | Liam Mathews

“Listen In” is a weekly feature in which we ask musicians to curate a mixtape-length YouTube playlist of songs they’re currently digging. Click the big play button above to hear the whole playlist or scroll down to see and hear individual tracks.

Soul singer Van Hunt has been around for awhile and even won a Grammy in 2007, but isn’t a household name. His fractured, psychedelic take on pop and funk and soul is too weird for the mainstream, but it’s earned him a dedicated and deserving cult following. His sexy, D’angelo-esque album The Fun Rises, the Fun Sets is out Tuesday via Godless Hotspot.
