Magic Leap Turns An Ordinary Office into a Battlefield in Augmented Reality Game Demo

March 20, 2015 | Liam Mathews

Magic Leap, the secretive virtual reality startup backed by Google, unveiled a video demo of what its Google-glass like augmented reality gaming hardware might be capable of according to TechCrunch.

The video was developed in tandem with Weta Workshop, a special-effects design studio that’s worked on Lord of the Rings films. It shows a first-person shooter where aliens attack a regular meatspace start-up office. According to TechCrunch, Magic Leap hasn’t confirmed if this is merely a concept video or footage of actual gameplay, but either way, it’s incredibly cool.
